Dark spots on the screen
foretold the end for someone.
We'd hoped to have more time.


Instead, the woman who'd tried
so hard to stay alive was suddenly
gone and her man was all alone.

Every time I peek, the wound in
my heart is a little bit deeper.
I'm sure it will not heal.
