The Problem With Patience

If greedy wait, hot will cool,
early turn late, and wise become fool.

If young but bide, push their dreams aside,
they will grow up hollow and live lives so shallow
that no one notices when they drearily die.

If rebels mellow, decide to compromise,
they will haggle and deal then settle for less.
Accept half a loaf and call that success.

Keep your eyes on the prize.
Wait not. Grab hot. Stay greedy.
